Plans are in place for an investment project to launch a matchmaking production in Postavy, BelTA learned from the administration of FEZ Vitebsk.
“The implementation of this investment project is mulled over by a company from the UAE. Preliminary documents are currently coordinated to register the company as a resident of FEZ Vitebsk. A business plan is also under development,” the administration said. It is planned that the new production facility will be located on the vacant premises of Belit Plant. More than $3 million will be allocated at the first stage, with at least 25 jobs to be created. The new company will export all of its products to African countries. Today, 48 investment projects are implemented in the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone, including 23 projects with foreign capital from 15 countries. This year, six organizations with a total amount of declared investment of at least $50 million and planned creation of about 260 jobs have received the FEZ resident status. At least three more investment projects are expected by the end of the year. For the first time, companies with capital from Sweden, Spain and Estonia have been registered. The volume of investments made by FEZ residents for the first nine months of this year amounted to Br100.9 million (up 21.1% year-on-year). Projects with the largest investment are implemented by Aliansplant, Modern-Expo, Energokomplekt and Belkarolin.
