11.05.2026
On May 14, at 10:30 AM, an open broadcast of the webinar "Leasing Activities Considering the New Law. What Individuals Need to Know?" will take place on the NCZPI YouTube channel.
The Law of the Republic of Belarus of March 16, 2026 No. 133-Z "On Leasing Activities" comprehensively regulates leasing activities in the Republic of Belarus, taking into account the practice of applying the norms of Decree of the President of February 25, 2014 No. 99 "On Issues of Leasing Activities Regulation". It provides for a number of innovations that concern individuals. They are primarily aimed at increasing the level of protection for citizens and reducing their financial vulnerability.
The main provisions of the aforementioned regulatory legal act come into force on March 21 of the following year. However, in order for citizens interested in using such a financial instrument as leasing to be aware of the innovations, we invited Alexey Rayko, a member of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, to the NCZPI studio to explain the new provisions.
During the webinar, the speaker will cover the following issues:
· Who is entitled to carry out leasing activities and what are the requirements for a leasing organization?
· Obligations of a leasing organization and disclosure of information about its activities.
· Conclusion of a lease agreement with an individual.
· Features of a residential property lease agreement.

PRAVO.BY FACT SHEET In particular, from the date Law No. 133-Z comes into force, for citizens: · the debt burden will be significantly reduced (a limit on the aggregate maximum amount of penalties is introduced, the income level of lessors is reduced by 2 times compared to the currently existing limit); · a legal basis for unilateral termination of the lease agreement will be established; · the level of awareness about the formation of overdue debt under a lease agreement will be increased (an obligation for the lessor to notify citizens about such debt is introduced); · the right to initiate changes in the terms of obligations under a lease agreement in case of difficult life circumstances will be established. |
