40 families received keys to a new home in the agro-town of Novka

The solemn ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Vitebsk district, as well as representatives of the construction organizations responsible for the construction of the facility, residents and guests of the agro-town.
Own housing in a 40-apartment building was received by large families, young specialists, and promising personnel. The new residents received the keys from the hands of the Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, Sergey Egorov, and cut the ribbon together with the management of the organizations that built the facility. Certificates of the right to provide rental housing for employees of organizations were handed over to representatives of the agricultural sector and the local vertical of power.
– It is symbolic that on such a festive day – Independence Day – we are engaged in peaceful affairs and opening new facilities. Today, this is an important facility for the life of the Vitebsk district, designed for the future – a multi-apartment residential building. It contains apartments for large families, our young specialists who will come to work in the district's economy and will enhance its economic potential, – emphasized Sergey Egorov.
He addressed special gratitude to the builders. After all, how they coped with their task deserves special respect, believes the head of the district. Rhythmic financing, contractor efficiency, and coordinated work of specialists were ensured. The project was completed within the established deadlines in compliance with all regulatory requirements and modern quality standards. Competent engineering solutions and careful attention to detail made it possible to create comfortable and safe housing for the new residents.
– This house is the result of the work of many people, from local authorities to the employees of our enterprise, the UKS of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, – said the First Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of Vitebsk DSK, Alexander Tikhonov.
For high production performance, professionalism, and conscientious work in the construction of the house, individual employees of Vitebsk DSK were recognized with commendations from the Chairman of the District Executive Committee. The team of UKS of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee was awarded a letter of commendation.
– The house in Novka is not the only one built in the Vitebsk district this year. The construction of a house in the agro-town of Kirovo, for which Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory acted as the customer for its specialists, will be completed soon, – reported Sergey Egorov at the key handover ceremony, adding that the district executive committee's staff also contributed to the construction of the facility in Novka by laying several square meters of paving slabs during the subbotnik this spring. The head of the district expressed hope that the cooperation of all parties will be no less dynamic and fruitful in the future.

An Elegant New Building
The two-entrance house on Tsentralnaya Street in Novka stands out noticeably among the local buildings. Stylish design, concise solutions, spacious parking, and a functional children's playground at the end. It will surely be in demand among young residents, as the owners of two- and three-room apartments here are 14 large families registered as needing housing improvement and residing in the Vitebsk district.
– We have been patiently waiting for these keys for 14 years. My husband and I moved to Novka and got on the housing waiting list when we had one child – three-month-old Lera. Over the years, Andrey and Alexandra were born, – recalled Tatyana Isakovich. – The new housing will only strengthen our good family traditions. I am sure that in the new apartment, we will have even more guests, and their reception will be more heartfelt.
The Zybos, a large family, will soon move into one of the two-room apartments in the new building. Both spouses work in agriculture and are currently settled with their children in the Orsha district. Therefore, resolving the housing issue and moving will bring concerns about changing jobs.
– We jumped on the last train, quickly processed and completed the documents. By a happy coincidence, we received housing two months later, – said Lyudmila Zybo. – The children reacted to the upcoming move with enthusiasm.
State-of-the-art
The house is designed with meticulous attention to detail, including the layout and functional elevators in the entrances. The apartments have interior finishing, internal doors are installed, and bathrooms and kitchens are equipped with electric stoves. The main source of heat is electricity. The temperature is maintained by electric convectors with built-in thermostats.
As the builders admitted, there were difficulties during the construction of the house. The fact is that due to the already laid operating networks on the territory, work had to be carried out in rather cramped conditions: relocating the gas pipeline, water supply, sewage, and relaying the networks.
The labor resources of the leading large-panel housing construction developer in the northern region are currently more concentrated in the Tarny microdistrict in the regional center. Four houses are being built here simultaneously, and three more are planned to start construction by the end of the year. In Orsha itself, the enterprise has already commissioned one house and is starting the next one.
The housing developers have impressive plans – objects for 2026 and 2027 have already been designated.
By the way. The construction of utility networks to the house on Tsentralnaya Street began in December 2024, and the house itself in January 2025. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Capital Construction Department acted as the developer, and the state enterprise "Vitebsk DSK" as the contractor. The facility was commissioned at the end of May 2025. Ten apartments are one-room, twenty are two-room, and another ten have three rooms.
– Our enterprise is the only manufacturer of houses of the 111-108 series in Belarus. The modernized sections of residential buildings of the 111-108 series large-panel houses are made taking into account the requirements of current technical regulations and the technical capabilities of the large-panel house plant. The principles of energy efficiency of production have been implemented. We carry out the construction of 5-, 10-, 11-story residential buildings of the 111-108 series large-panel houses, 16-story large-panel houses, and large-panel houses with electric heating. In 2024, we erected and commissioned 14 residential buildings of large-panel houses with a total area of 90.3 thousand square meters. For three of these facilities, the enterprise acted as the customer. Success is determined by the coordinated, responsible, and conscientious work of the team, – emphasized Alexander Tikhonov. – Today, the construction industry faces the task of improving the quality of construction, reducing costs in the production of building materials and the provision of construction services, and increasing the consumer characteristics of housing and its energy-saving parameters. The technical equipment of the large-panel house plant and the renewal of the material and technical base allow our enterprise to confidently solve complex and modern tasks for the construction of mass housing. We see how residential buildings are being actively constructed in the Vitebsk region, and the appearance of both the regional center and small towns and villages is gradually changing for the better. And all this is thanks to the introduction of advanced technologies, and the successful mastering of them by designers and builders. Time sets new tasks for us.
