Vitebsk celebrated the 65th anniversary of the founding of "Vitebskoblgaz"
Representatives of the authorities and relevant ministries, deputies, and heads of partner enterprises came to share the holiday with the jubilarians.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, noted the high professionalism and invaluable experience of the team, which is one of the main sources fueling the economy of the region and the country.
– In modern economic conditions, you have managed to preserve and worthily continue the best traditions accumulated by the team. The enterprise can safely be called a forge of personnel: many talented individuals received professional training here, and today they continue their activities in high state positions as leaders. The high class of customer service in modern offices, a significant increase in gas networks without interfering with the architectural ensembles of cities and villages, and coordinated work to improve consumer safety allow us to talk about the modern and, importantly, far-sighted development of the industry, – emphasized the head of the region.
The congratulatory message to the staff was sent by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Igor Sergeenko, who emphasized that working in the country's gas industry is a colossal responsibility for the functioning of industrial production, warmth in our homes, and the preservation of the ecological environment.
Vitebskoblgaz is an important enterprise for the region. Over its 65-year existence, a small gas supply organization has grown into a large-scale engineering complex, providing blue fuel to over 500,000 consumers. It is especially worth noting that the company pays great attention to social projects aimed at the development of children and youth, their involvement in spiritual values, and fostering love for the Motherland," the congratulatory address states.
The text was read by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Energy, Transport, Communications, and Digital Development of the House of Representatives, Yuri Panfilov, who presented the Director General of UP Vitebskoblgaz, Alexander Brantsevich, with an Honorary Certificate of the National Assembly.
The anniversary celebration honored the best workers, veterans, and young specialists who, each in their own role, make a significant contribution to the development of the enterprise and the industry. A number of employees were awarded Honorary Certificates of the Regional Executive Committee, the Regional Council of Deputies, the Ministry of Energy, trade unions, and other departments, as well as certificates for the title "Honored Worker of UP Vitebskoblgaz." The former head of the enterprise, Honored Energy Worker of the Republic of Belarus, Petr Shershen, was awarded the title of Honorary Veteran.
Following the awards ceremony, the regional amateur talent contest took place. "Vitebskoblgaz" has always been renowned for its talents: singers, dancers, musicians, many of whom are on par with professional artists.
The festive concert became a bright and spectacular conclusion to the anniversary celebration.
