75 ideas for regional development: applications closed for the Vitebsk region civil initiatives competition
The application period for the civil initiatives project competition, organized by the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, has closed. Within the allotted time, 75 project proposals were received from residents of all districts and cities of the Vitebsk region, which confirms the high civic activity of the population and interest in the development of their native territories.
The projects cover key areas of sustainable regional development: improvement of public spaces, development of tourism infrastructure, creation of a comfortable environment for families with children and people with limited mobility, support for local initiatives in culture and sports, etc.
75 projects are not just a number. These are 75 ideas born locally, 75 teams of enthusiasts who know how to make their locality better. Civic initiative is becoming a real driver of territorial development.
Further selection schedule:
- February 19, 2026 — preliminary review of projects by a working group with an assessment of compliance with requirements and implementation potential;
- March 2026 — open competitive selection with the participation of independent experts, representatives of public organizations and the media. Finalists will present their projects in person, after which the decision of the regional executive committee will be made and project implementers will be identified for funding in 2026.
