Alexander Subbotin took part in the festive events dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the military-patriotic club "Vityaz".
The celebration began with laying flowers and lighting the eternal flame at the "Order of Victory" memorial sign near PSU named after P. Masherov. Then, honored guests moved to the university building, where an exhibition was set up, and club members were able to demonstrate the skills acquired during their training.
Currently, 260 individuals aged 12-17 are involved in the club, which was established on the basis of military unit 5524. The majority of them aspire to dedicate their lives to military service.
– The first military-patriotic club, named "Vityaz," was established at our unit in December 2021, and by January 2022, four more were formed: in Glubokoye, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Orsha. "Vityaz" is currently the most powerful club in terms of both membership and results, – noted the commander of military unit 5524, Colonel Alexander Usmanov. – Over four years, 35 cadets have successfully completed training here, with a significant portion of them enrolling in educational institutions of the country's силового блока (security sector). Club members have become champions and prize-winners in hand-to-hand combat and practical shooting competitions among military-patriotic clubs of the internal troops, have been prize-winners of the "Young Journalist" competition, and this year won the BRSM award. It can be confidently stated that the club members are the future personnel potential of the Armed Forces, highly motivated patriots of their Motherland.
"Vityaz" was called the pride of the region by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, who traditionally attends the club's birthday.
– Your numbers are growing, and your results are becoming more impressive, – emphasized the head of the region. – You can be proud of the achievements each of you has made in hand-to-hand combat and in other types of competitions. I would like the skills you acquire to never be needed in your lives. However, the more you know, the more you can do, and the more you train, the calmer you will feel, your families will feel, and everyone around you will feel, because they already see you as defenders.
The club's trainees who showed the best results were awarded certificates and valuable gifts. The event was also attended by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Yurgievich, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Alexey Geroev, Head of the Administration of the Pervomaisky District of Vitebsk Evgeny Semenychev, and heads of enterprises and public organizations of the city.
