Alexander Subbotin: "Slavianski Bazaar" is a platform for communication, the effect of which is measured not only by money"
"We have been preparing for a year. And now we are ready to offer you not only venues, but also a piece of our heart and soul. May the festival be heard all over the world."
The head of the region wished the artists to get vivid emotions from participating in the forum:
"May this festival segment become either a starting page or another step on the career ladder on the path to fame."
He wished the guests of "Slavianski Bazaar" to return to Vitebsk again.
"It is difficult to assess the economic effect of the festival, because more than four dozen countries gather under its umbrella. Friendships are formed, a basis for further relations appears. And this, of course, is a showcase of our country, a showcase of the Slavic world, through which we show how we can and know how to be friends and that we are committed to peace, creation, development, and invite everyone to this mutual dialogue," Alexander Subbotin emphasized.
The festival has a large number of concerts and events, it always goes "under the umbrella of the state," under the patronage of the head of state, Alexander Subbotin added. The Union State provides significant support in this regard, and a number of programs are held under its auspices, speaking about the components of budget financing. The arts forum is commercially successful.
"Slavianski Bazaar" is not only artists and concerts, but also infrastructure that works for the comfort of residents and guests.
"In the center, around the festival venues, about 400 non-stationary trade and catering facilities are set up annually. We additionally get about 3 thousand seats," Alexander Subbotin clarified.
Non-stationary trade facilities alone earn more than 3 million rubles during the festival days. In addition, about five hundred artisans come to festive Vitebsk.
"During the festival last year, an additional 6 tons of ice cream and 20 thousand liters of kvass were sold in the center," Alexander Subbotin recalled.
The most important thing, according to him, is that the festival is a platform for communication, the effect of which is measured not only by money. The arts forum is becoming more textured and richer, offering cultural events for every taste.
