Winter safety.

Despite parents' efforts to explain rules of conduct at home and in public places to their children, the number of injuries among minors increases in winter due to a greater number of potentially dangerous situations.

It is important to constantly know where your child is, to prohibit children from playing near railway tracks, unfinished buildings, and from going out onto frozen bodies of water on their own.

It is worth reminding children that snow can fall from the roof or an icicle can drop, and that ice skating and skiing are only allowed in designated areas.

It is also important to know that sledding on flat sleds and tubing are among the most dangerous types of entertainment, as it is impossible to control speed and direction of movement when descending. You should check the condition of the tube before each ride, choose the appropriate diameter, and do not exceed the maximum permissible weight. Before descending, make sure that the previous person has cleared the track; do not tie tubes together or attach them to vehicles.

In adverse weather conditions (snowfall, icy roads), visibility significantly deteriorates, drifts appear, and pedestrian and vehicle movement becomes difficult. A car cannot stop immediately – this must be taken into account when crossing the road in winter. In addition, do not play or sled near the roadway.

May your winter fun be not only enjoyable but also safe!
