Businessmen from the Łódź Voivodeship are interested in deepening partnership with the Vitebsk region
According to Ewa Łapaj, today the economy of any country largely depends on small and medium-sized companies, as they are the most active and mobile market players. "Representatives of the business community of the Łódź Voivodeship have already established contacts with enterprises of the Vitebsk region. The current visit will contribute to deepening this partnership, as well as establishing new business contacts," she emphasized.
The Polish delegation includes representatives of a construction company, food and agricultural enterprises. The visit program began with a business meeting at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee with potential partners from the Belarusian side: representatives of the "Vitba" enterprise, RUP "Vitebsk DSK", GP "Zelenkhoz", OJSC "Vesta", etc. A closer acquaintance with the discussion of specific points of contact and opportunities for interaction continued at the regional marketing center. The guests also visited the enterprise with Polish capital "Modern-expo", which is an example of successful cooperation. Polish businessmen also have high hopes for finding new partners and ideas by visiting the 3rd forum on innovative entrepreneurship of the Vitebsk region "From Small to Great," which will be held on November 17 in Orsha.
As noted by Konstantin Cherny, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economics of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the annual turnover of the Belarusian region with Poland is about $60 million, remaining at almost the same level for the last few years. Woodworking semi-finished products, petroleum products, liquefied gas, etc., are exported to Poland. Building mixtures, pharmaceutical products, and equipment are imported.
