The budget of the Vitebsk region for 2017 is planned with a surplus of about Br50 million

The budget of the Vitebsk region for 2017 is planned with a surplus of about Br50 million. This was announced by the head of the main financial department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Boris Kichanovsky, during a report on the regional budget for 2017 at a session of the regional council of deputies.

The total amount of the revenue part of the budget is planned at the level of Br1 billion 826 million. Expenditures will amount to about Br1 billion 776 million. At the same time, the budget will maintain its social orientation - the priorities of budget financing are the allocation of funds for the maintenance and development of social sectors and the provision of financial support to certain socially important sectors of the economy and categories of citizens. Social items will account for 67% of the expenditure part of the budget. The regional budget for 2017 provides resources for the preparation of facilities for the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki" in Dubrovno and the Day of Belarusian Written Language in Polotsk.
