Closer to the people

The current epidemiological situation did not prevent the organization and conduct of personal receptions of citizens and representatives of legal entities in the prosecutor's offices of the region.

In 2020, more than 3.8 thousand people were received by prosecutors during personal receptions. In the current year, more than 1.5 thousand people have already attended such receptions.

This work is actively carried out by the management of the prosecutor's offices. Field receptions of citizens are organized.

Thus, in June of the current year alone, the Prosecutor of the region, Ukrainets I.V., held field receptions of citizens at OAO "Prozemle-Agro" of Chashniksky district, OAO "Vitebskiye Kovry".

Although the issues raised at these receptions did not always concern the activities of the prosecutor's offices, and mostly touched upon problems that concerned people in the areas of housing and communal services, landscaping, and daily life, the meetings held in the work collectives allowed us to learn more about the activities of the supervisory authority. The heads of these organizations were more interested in issues of debt collection and timely payment for supplied products.

We also want to inform citizens once again that the Prosecutor of the region personally receives citizens at the prosecutor's office of the region (Vitebsk, Zhestkova St., 14a) monthly (the first and third Tuesday of the month) with supervisory complaints against court decisions and complaints against the decisions of his deputies (by prior appointment by phone: 37-21-52 (37-45-16)).

The Deputy Prosecutors of the region receive citizens (without prior appointment) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Prosecutors of cities and districts of the region, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor, receive citizens personally on Wednesdays.

Citizens also have the opportunity to contact other prosecutors on other days.

It should be borne in mind that after 6:00 PM, on weekends and public holidays, personal receptions at the prosecutor's offices of cities and districts of the region, and the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office are held by prior appointment (contact phone numbers can be obtained directly from the respective prosecutor's office).
