More than 180 representatives of the student squad movement of Vitebsk region received vouchers for the labor summer

A solemn ceremony to open the Third Labor Semester-2026 was held at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M. Shmyryov. Territorial headquarters of student squads of Vitebsk region received documents granting the right to work in camps, educational and healthcare institutions, and enterprises.
Fighters, commissars, and commanders of student squads gathered in a united formation.
– Today, the state emphasizes the time of concrete actions. Participants of the student squad movement will prove this with their achievements. We invest a lot of effort and energy in the youth because they are the future of our country. The student squad movement is history, an era, life. I am sure that the number of fighters will increase every year, – noted Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.
It is symbolic that the opening of the Third Labor Semester took place on May 19, the Day of Pioneer Friendship.
– Thanks to cooperation with our partners, young people will have a unique opportunity not only to gain valuable experience but also to show their best qualities. For us, this is not just a seasonal labor campaign, but a real celebration of energy and youth. I am sure that this semester will be a time of bright discoveries, new acquaintances, and worthy labor victories for all participants, – emphasized Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of BRSM.
Anastasia Demeshchenko, commander of the labor affairs headquarters of Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk, believes that student squads are becoming a second family for young people.
– Today, the territorial headquarters of student teams and the labor affairs headquarters of higher education institutions received permits for the 2026 labor summer. Each territorial center sends young people to the "tselina" (a traditional student work period) at various facilities of national and international importance. For example, soon many members of the student team movement will go to Minsk to work on the construction of the National Historical Museum and the Park of People's Unity. The production team "Euphoria" will go to work at MAZ. For the guys, this is a unique opportunity not only to earn money but also to make new acquaintances and gain a lot of unforgettable emotions, – said Anastasia Demeshchenko.
Upon completion of the solemn opening ceremony of the 2026 labor semester, an engaging quest awaited the participants of the student team movement in the open-air area of the museum, during which the members tested their knowledge of history.
The patriotic part of the program included a dialogue platform and an excursion to the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M. Shmyrev.
