"Big Start": A family sports festival was held on the eve of the Day of National Unity
The goal of the event is to involve prosecutors, employees of the prosecutor's office system, and their family members in systematic physical culture and sports, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to reveal the creative abilities of employees.
In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Khmaruk, congratulated the participants and guests of the festival on the Day of National Unity at the grand opening and praised the high level of organization of the tournament. He wished the teams good luck and the will to win.
The Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region, Igor Ukrainets, wished the participants a good mood and sporting achievements, and the fans and guests – vivid emotions. He expressed confidence that prosecutors in sports "are capable of working wonders."
The following were present as honored guests at the event: Prosecutor of the Grodno Region Alexander Zhukov, Prosecutor of the Minsk Region Yuri Shchetko, Prosecutor of the Mogilev Region Alexander Chadyuk, and other heads of prosecutor's offices.
A total of 8 teams participated in the sports and family festival: a combined team of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Scientific and Practical Center, and teams from the prosecutor's offices of the regions and the city of Minsk.
The competition program consisted of a sports part – relay race, darts, pull-ups, jump rope, basketball throws – and a creative competition, which was dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory announced in the country.
A spirit of rivalry and the desire to win first place reigned on the sports field throughout all stages of the competition.
As a result, the places in the sports competitions were distributed as follows:
- I place – team of the Brest Regional Prosecutor's Office;
- II place – team of the Mogilev Regional Prosecutor's Office;
- III place – team of the Minsk City Prosecutor's Office.
The winner in the creative competition
The team of the Grodno Regional Prosecutor's Office was recognized as the winner of the competition, the team of the Minsk Regional Prosecutor's Office took 2nd place, and the teams of the Gomel and Mogilev Regional Prosecutor's Offices shared 3rd place.
As a result, after a fierce struggle and tough competition, the team of the Mogilev Regional Prosecutor's Office took 1st place in the tournament; 2nd place, with a small margin from the winner, went to the team of the Brest Regional Prosecutor's Office; 3rd place went to the team of the Minsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region, Igor Ukrainets, took part in the award ceremony for the winners, and also presented commemorative prizes and diplomas to other participants.
