Former bus depot in Vitebsk sold at auction
An unused vehicle depot on Michurin Street in Vitebsk has been sold at an electronic auction organized by the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee.
This was one of the largest unused real estate objects in the Vitebsk region, with a total area of almost 6000 sq.m.
The sold complex includes a building for vehicle repair and maintenance, an administrative and utility section with a covered canopy, and has electricity supply and sewage systems.
Previously, a private organization attempted to open the "Michurinsky" market on the premises of the vehicle depot, but due to its bankruptcy, the vehicle depot was transferred to state ownership.
Since 2022, the vehicle depot has been put up for auction 12 times, but no buyers were found previously.
As a result, in July, a single buyer was found at the auction with an 80% reduction in the sale price.
To expand its production activities, the vehicle depot was purchased for 304 thousand rubles by a production repair and construction enterprise from Vitebsk, which is engaged in the production of windows, doors, PVC products, produces thermal insulation products, and performs construction and installation work.
In total, the committee has conducted 76 successful auctions since the beginning of the year. This has not only put unused state property objects into use for regional development but also replenished the state budget by more than 3 million rubles.
