May summer be a joy
Ensuring children's safety in the summer is primarily the responsibility of parents. Even if you send your child somewhere for the summer, provide them with protective equipment, discuss safety rules with them, ensure regular communication, and consult those who will be looking after your child about the nuances of their behavior and individual characteristics.
Water is a wonderful means of improving a child's health. However, swimming is only beneficial when used rationally and safely. Do not ignore the rules of conduct on the water and do not allow children to do so.
- do not swim in prohibited areas;
- do not swim beyond the buoys;
- do not jump into the water from cliffs or in places with an unknown bottom;
- do not use faulty watercraft;
- do not stay in the water for more than 15-20 minutes;
- do not swim alone, especially if you are not confident in your abilities;
- do not play games in the water involving grabbing each other by the legs, arms, or head;
- do not swim into areas where motorboats, jet skis, or vessels are moving and do not approach them.
Remind your child daily about traffic rules:
- walk on the street at a calm pace, keeping to the right side of the sidewalk;
- cross the road only at a pedestrian crossing when the traffic light is green, ensuring that all cars have stopped;
- the roadway is intended only for vehicles;
- do not stick your head or any objects out of the windows of public transport.
The main reasons for injuries to citizens by railway trains are ignorance and violation of safety rules when in the zone of railway tracks, unjustified haste and carelessness, unwillingness to use pedestrian bridges, tunnels, and crossings, and sometimes mischief, hooliganism, and games both on the railway tracks and in the adjacent territory.
Remember:
- Do not crawl under train cars, do not climb over couplers;
- Do not jump into a moving train;
- Do not exit a train car until it has come to a complete stop;
- Do not play on platforms and tracks;
- Do not stick your head out of windows while the train is moving;
- Do not cross tracks in front of an approaching train if the distance to it is less than 400 meters. A train cannot stop immediately!
- Do not approach the rails closer than 5 meters;
- Cross tracks only via a bridge or special crossings;
- Exit the train car only from the side of the platform crossing;
Adults! Remember: children at the station must be supervised, and small children should be held by the hand.
Compliance with these safety requirements will make your rest and your children's rest complete, beneficial, and safe for health!
