Children's Day – the main thing is not to remain indifferent!

Unfortunately, the very existence of such a holiday indicates the instability of the modern world order, the presence of many problems generated by many adults who gave life to children but are unwilling to care for them. However, at the same time, this Day also testifies to another bright side – the existence of many adults who are willing and stand up for the protection of children.

On Children's Day, the staff of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, at the invitation of 33 children aged 3 to 17, visited the Vitebsk orphanage, which had become a temporary refuge for them from the negligence and irresponsibility of their parents. With sincere wishes, the Deputy Prosecutor of the region Guk V.I. and the Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the region Volkov A.V., on behalf of all employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, presented the children with sports equipment – balls, badminton sets, board games, etc. for a good summer pastime. Grateful children, following an old tradition, organized a festive concert with songs and dance numbers.

On June 9, 2016, a tournament of KVN teams consisting of children from accounting categories (juvenile inspection, schoolchildren, and lyceum students) will be held in Vitebsk. The regional prosecutor's office has also purchased sports prizes for the winning teams.

The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office actively participates in providing charitable assistance to institutions involved in the protection of children's rights.

During the New Year holidays, material assistance was provided to the Vitebsk Children's Home. In May, through the mediation of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, expensive computer equipment was purchased for the Children's Adolescent Psychiatric Department of the Regional Clinical Center for Psychiatry and Narcology using voluntary donations from a private construction organization to help children with psychophysical disabilities.

In the future, the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office will also

to work in the direction of charity for institutions where children in need of assistance are housed.
