A moving train cannot be stopped immediately!

The development of transport infrastructure helps to solve many problems related to the timely delivery of goods and comfortable passenger transportation, and at the same time creates numerous dangers for human life.

In the past 2017, the Vitebsk railway department recorded 8 cases of citizens being injured by railway transport, 5 of which resulted in fatal injuries. There were no registered cases of injuries to minors.

Investigations into each case of injury showed that the cause in all accidents lies in the carelessness and inattention of the victims themselves, and their unwillingness to observe elementary safety measures while in a zone of increased danger. It should be noted that 5 out of 8 victims were intoxicated.

The Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office reminds that any transport, especially railway transport, poses a real threat to human life and health. Near the railway track, one must always be extremely careful, attentive to one's own actions and the actions of others, protecting oneself and loved ones from misfortune.

Walking on railway tracks or being on railway tracks in an unauthorized place, in accordance with Part 5 of Article 18.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, entails a fine of 0.2 to 2 basic units (from 4.9 to 49 rubles).

We must always remember that the railway is a zone of increased danger.
