«Unified Safety Day»

Employees of the Vitebsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office took part in control and supervisory measures within the framework of the nationwide campaign "Unified Safety Day".

The Vitebsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, together with the Vitebsk Oblast Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Vitebsk District to study the quality of work on the prevention of crimes and offenses, identified violations of citizens' life safety by district prevention entities, during which participation was taken in extraordinary meetings of the councils of public law and order points of the district, and the work of local authorities was checked.

With the participation of the Vitebsk City Prosecutor's Office on 05.09.2019, a field meeting of the supervisory commission of the administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk was held at the base of "LTP No. 4 of Vitebsk" for persons staying in this institution. A comprehensive approach aimed at preventing crimes and offenses committed while intoxicated also allowed addressing fire safety issues.

In addition, as part of the campaign on 06.09.2019, the city prosecutor's office conducted a joint interdepartmental raid on the city's dormitories with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Department of Internal Affairs, during which several dormitories of the State Enterprise "ZhRET of Vitebsk" were selectively visited. Based on the results of this work, not only the most serious fire safety violations were identified, but also violations of sanitary standards, access and passport regime rules, internal regulations, and public order.

Appropriate prosecutor's response documents have been prepared for the identified facts.

It should be noted that conducting such events allows for a comprehensive approach not only to the preventive areas within which they are carried out, but also to identify and address a wider range of preventive areas.
