Photo fact: Igor Sergeenko congratulated the residents of the Braslav boarding house "Ozerny" as part of the "From the bottom of my heart" campaign
Igor Sergeenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, is working in the Braslav district. The first item on his working agenda was participation in the republican New Year's charity event "From the Bottom of Our Hearts," which is taking place across the country.
As part of the event, the Chairman of the House of Representatives visited the Braslav Social Boarding House "Ozerny," which is home to 107 elderly people, including 66 individuals with disabilities. Igor Sergeenko congratulated the residents of the institution on the past and upcoming holidays, wished them good health, well-being, and peace, and presented each of them with a sweet gift set.
The next stage of Igor Sergeenko's working trip was a meeting with the active members of the Braslav district. During the meeting, the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country for the next five-year period, adopted at the VII All-Belarusian People's Congress, was discussed. At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Grishchenko, on behalf of all those present, thanked Igor Petrovich for his visit to the Braslav region and expressed confidence that the people of Braslav would not let them down and would do everything to ensure the district prospers and the country develops.
Summarizing the working trip, Igor Sergeenko noted:
– All members of the House of Representatives are working in their constituencies: they hold meetings with work collectives on the implementation of the country's socio-economic development program for the next five-year period, and participate in the "From the bottom of my heart" campaign. In my constituency, in Braslav, I visited the "Ozerny" social boarding house.
There are 89 state and 18 private boarding houses operating in the Republic of Belarus, housing about 20,000 people. Using this institution as an example, we see significant social support from the state for people in difficult life situations. The state does not leave them alone with their problems but helps them lead a dignified and quite active life.
The potential of the Braslav district is high: it includes tourism development, entrepreneurship, and industry. A development program for the district has been drafted, and priorities and tasks have been identified. As the Head of State emphasized, the time has come for concrete actions to enrich the life of the region.
