The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Konyuk, paid a working visit to the Vitebsk region.

The head of the supervisory authority once again visited the ski-roller track in the tract of Vorobyevy Gory, Gorodok district, where he met with the management of the sports complex and familiarized himself with the conditions for conducting ski training. – “The ski-roller track is one of the fundamental facilities in Belarus. I have been involved with the Ski Racing Federation for several years, and the training conditions for athletes are better than in foreign countries,” emphasized the Prosecutor General.

After visiting the sports facility, Alexander Konyuk, together with the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, Mikhail Orda, held a reception for citizens at the KUsp "Gorodokskaya PMK-51".

“The PMK, on whose territory we are located, has serious systemic problems, a difficult financial situation, and there was even a question of liquidation. We decided to look into the situation and help overcome the problems existing at the enterprise,” informed the Prosecutor General.

During the joint reception, 14 people were received, including those who arrived from other regions of the republic. The issues raised by citizens concerned the protection of workers' labor rights, the investigation and consideration of criminal cases, as well as other matters.

At the end of the reception, Alexander Konyuk met with representatives of regional and republican media, who were interested in the state of affairs in the Orsha region, the relevance of the changes in the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus that entered into force today, regarding the responsibility of motorcyclists, and also received questions about the legislative initiative of the supervisory authority and the responsibility of mass media for disseminating knowingly false information.

The next day, the Prosecutor General visited the Polotsk State Specialized Children and Youth Sports School No. 10.

One of the goals of the visit was to present sets of equipment for ski training to the students of the sports institution.

Before presenting the gifts, Alexander Konyuk familiarized himself with the training process,

successes of the institution's trainees. 56 children are studying at the school, half of them have adult and youth sports ranks, many continue their training at the Novopolotsk or Vitebsk Olympic Reserve schools.

"All officials and ministers engage in sports, participate in various competitions. This is an excellent way to relax after intense work, benefiting health. I want you to achieve even greater sports success with these skis," said the Prosecutor General, addressing the children.

Gifts were presented to the best young athletes, as well as to the youngest skier, seven-year-old Arina Bondarenko, who is taking her first steps in sports.
