Giant chess, fluffy puzzles, and a demonstration by service dogs. How did the charity interactive event for the pupils of the Senno orphanage go?
A kind and bright story happened the other day at the Sennensky orphanage. As part of the "Getting to Know Each Other Through Good Deeds" campaign, representatives of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC, together with servicemen of the 3rd rifle battalion of military unit 5524, organized a celebration for almost 80 wards of the institution.
The products from Vitebsk Carpets became not just decoration, but a real play area. On the soft surface, the children enthusiastically moved large chess pieces, assembled fluffy puzzles, and played dominoes – simple activities that brought genuine joy and united the little ones and teenagers with excitement. Laughter, lively advice from older children, and friendly applause became the backdrop for vivid children's emotions.
The part of the program organized by the servicemen added a serious and educational touch to the day. The children carefully examined an exhibition of modern weapons and equipment, and were interested in how the military serve. The demonstration performances with service dogs attracted special attention – the precision of movements and the mutual understanding between the handler and the pet caused delight and a storm of emotions.
The culmination of the holiday was gifts and sweet treats. Each child received attention, care, and a small token that they are remembered and that there are people nearby ready to share kindness.
