On October 6, 2022, the Head of State signed Directive No. 10 "On the inadmissibility of price increases", and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus adopted Resolution No. 669 "On temporary measures to stabilize prices".

In order to unconditionally fulfill the requirements of the Head of State, work has been organized in the Vitebsk region to conduct control and analytical measures to identify violations of price legislation.

A regional working group has been established to monitor the price situation. Regional working groups have also been formed at city and district executive committees.

Retail prices for goods in retail outlets were fixed as of October 5 of this year.

Control and analytical measures are carried out daily in the regions, including weekends. Representatives of city and district executive committees, city and district Councils of Deputies, trade unions, prosecutor's offices, internal affairs bodies, and state control bodies participate in them.

As of October 12 of this year, control measures within the framework of the regional groups covered about 1734 facilities, and signs of violation of Resolution No. 669 were identified in three of them.
