The main building of the former "KIM" factory has been sold at auction

The main production building of the former "KIM" factory was sold at an electronic auction organized by the State Property Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

After the bankruptcy of the "KIM" sewing enterprise in 2019, this site remained one of the most problematic in the Vitebsk region. Over the years, it has been gradually developed by private businesses.

The main building was the largest of the KIM factory's facilities, with an area of 10,700 sq.m. It was the last of the factory's unsold properties and was offered for sale by the committee with an 80% reduction in its appraised value.

It was acquired for 221,856 rubles by the sole auction participant, a private enterprise from Vitebsk. The new owner's main activity is the production of concrete, building plaster, and cement products.

By the beginning of the new year, the committee has already scheduled over 50 auctions for the sale of unused state property.

In total, the committee has conducted 132 successful auctions this year. This has not only put unused state property to work for the development of the Vitebsk region but also replenished the state budget by 3.8 million Belarusian rubles.
