The assertion that a shell never falls twice in the same place is certainly not applicable to the lives of those who commit crimes. It is not uncommon for an individual, after being convicted of a first crime, to commit an almost identical act again after a short period.

This is what happened to Ruslan (name changed by the author), a resident of Maryina Gorka, Minsk region, born in 1989, who did not burden himself with the hardships of life, did not work, and abused alcoholic beverages. On the day before committing the crime, the young man "loaded up" heavily with strong spirits with casual acquaintances, after which he went with his new acquaintances to the railway station of Polotsk. The new acquaintances, succumbing to the "charms" of the green serpent, fell asleep on a bench in the waiting room of the Polotsk railway station, and our hero decided to take advantage of the helplessness of one of his acquaintances to profit from what he had in his pockets. He was caught in that shameless act by a passenger who immediately reprimanded him, which he ignored and completed his criminal intent. The respectable citizen informed the police officers about what she had seen, and the offender was soon detained by the police officers.

As it later turned out, Ruslan stole not only the monetary funds of his new acquaintance but also his passport, for what purpose has not been precisely established. By the verdict of the court of Polotsk district and the city of Polotsk, Ruslan was sentenced to 2 years and 1 month of imprisonment with serving his sentence in a strict regime correctional colony.
