Today, the Miory district was visited by the Chairman of the House of Representatives, the authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, Igor Sergeyenko, on a working visit.
He inspected the progress of the harvesting campaign, visiting the agricultural enterprises "Miory", "Cheressy", and "Uzmensky Krai". Igor Petrovich heard from the heads of farms and machine operators about the determination of local farmers to achieve high yields, and saw the work of grain harvesting equipment and grain drying complexes.
The harvesting of winter barley and rapeseed has been completed in the district, and farms have begun selective threshing of winter wheat.
This year, the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dozhynki" will be held in Miory. Igor Sergeyenko, together with the leadership of the Vitebsk region, visited a number of facilities where repair work is underway in preparation for the large-scale agricultural forum. This is the central city square, where the main festive events will take place. He also visited the building of the boxing hall under construction and familiarized himself with the repair work at Miory Secondary School No. 3 named after Hero of the Soviet Union Egor Andreevich Tomko.
Igor Sergeyenko took part in a meeting of the headquarters for the preparation of the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dozhynki".
