Personnel Day: New directors appointed for Novopolotsk Construction and Installation Trust No. 16 and Orsha Plant of Automatic Control Devices
A new head has been appointed to OJSC "Stroitelno-Montazhnyy Trest No. 16, Novopolotsk" — Vladimir Filonov. The domain is familiar to him — he has dedicated his entire working career to this industry. Previously, Vladimir Ivanovich worked as the chief engineer of the enterprise and knows firsthand about the difficult economic situation that has enveloped the organization within its "framework". The acuteness of the brewing problems determined the business tone of the conversation.
— The work should be aimed at reducing production costs and cutting expenses. Without this, it is difficult to compete, win tenders, and obtain volumes not only within the region and the republic but also in foreign markets. An organization with a strong personnel potential achieves good results. At the same time, attention should be focused on labor discipline and the organization of the production process. There should be no "swings" from the team during working hours, — the head of the region instructed the new leader.
Today, there are growth drivers in the economy of the construction industry. Nikolai Sherstnev does not hide: concentrating the management of several enterprises within one holding company will allow preserving highly qualified specialists, good workers, and material and technical resources, and optimizing management costs. The chairman of the regional executive committee instructed the specialists present to develop more detailed tools that will give the construction system of the Vitebsk region a new development vector.
The new head, Dmitry Ishmetov, is tasked with bringing OJSC "Zavod Priborov Avtomaticheskogo Kontrolya" (Orsha) to stable operation with positive dynamics. He came to this enterprise from one of the main machine-building enterprises of the region, "Krasnyy Borets".
— Low labor productivity — increase production volumes, form a team of effective workers, optimize costs, — instructed Nikolai Sherstnev.
Dmitry Yuryevich identified the main milestones on the plant's development "map". Among them are cost reduction through the relocation of auxiliary workshops to the main building of the enterprise, where production areas will be allocated. Equally important are the reduction of energy intensity of products, and the increase in production and export volumes. Considering the major transit routes passing through the district, the new director considers the creation of a logistics center for machine-building enterprises on the plant's premises to be promising. According to the manager, this project will allow direct cooperation with Russian metallurgical plants, purchasing metal from them for subsequent processing and sale. To ascertain the expediency and economic justification of this direction, Nikolai Sherstnev tasked the director with a deeper study of this issue, supported by relevant calculations.
— The head of a state enterprise must identify with a private entrepreneur who always evaluates their actions from the perspective of maximum benefit. Any project must be calculated as a commercial venture to ensure guaranteed profit, — Nikolai Nikolaevich summarized.
The agreement to extend the contract has been signed for Sergey Titov, the director of SHUP "Severny" in Gorodok District, who has headed this organization for two years. The head of the region noted the positive development dynamics of the enterprise and reminded of the need to adhere to technological criteria in agriculture and animal husbandry.
The main message that ran as a common thread throughout the personnel day was the importance of learning to build effective organizational management logistics. Ultimately, the prospects for growth and the well-being of the team depend on this.
