Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection: More than 880 thousand citizens found permanent employment in the Vitebsk region with the assistance of the employment service

Issues of improving employment promotion were discussed at a regional seminar-meeting in Vitebsk. The event was held on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the state employment service.

The event was attended by heads and specialists of labor, employment and social protection departments of district executive committees, heads of structural divisions of the regional executive committee, Chairman of the Central Board of the Belarusian Association of the Visually Impaired O.A. Shepel, Chairman of the Board of the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Peace Fund T.V. Tumanova, representatives of enterprises and organizations.

Over 30 years, with the assistance of the employment service, more than 880 thousand citizens have found permanent jobs.

Since 2019, the region (one of the first in the republic) has introduced online job fairs. During the online job fair, citizens can communicate with employers online and ask questions about vacancies of interest.

Over 30 years, more than 85 thousand unemployed individuals have been retrained, acquired new professions, and improved their qualifications.

Since 1994, with the financial support of the employment service, 2277 families with unemployed citizens have changed their place of residence for employment purposes.

During the seminar, the best employees of the service were recognized for their conscientious and fruitful work and active participation in the implementation of state policy in the field of employment promotion.
