Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection: The center for receiving and transmitting messages from people with hearing impairments to emergency and other services has become available to all residents of the Vitebsk region

In accordance with the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated April 12, 2021, No. 166, the Center for receiving and transmitting information from persons with hearing impairments to emergency services has begun to provide services not only to residents of Vitebsk, but also to the entire Vitebsk region.

Services are provided free of charge based on applications from citizens with a hearing disability group, children with disabilities, persons with hearing impairments who do not have a disability group but are fluent in sign language.

4 sign language interpreters provide intermediary assistance to persons with hearing impairments on all arising issues using communication tools (IP telephony programs (Skype, etc.), fax communication, SMS messages, software for mobile communication devices (Viber, WhatsApp, etc.)) or through personal reception.

The Center operates 24/7, without days off and holidays, on the basis of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of the Deaf" at the address: Vitebsk, Zhestkova St., 24.
