Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: in the first quarter of 2021, 28 unemployed people received a subsidy to start their own business in the Vitebsk region
In the first quarter of 2021, 28 unemployed individuals in the Vitebsk region received subsidies to start their own businesses.
From January to March 2021, the employment service of the Vitebsk region provided subsidies for the organization of entrepreneurial, craft activities, as well as activities for providing services in the field of agroecotourism to 28 unemployed citizens, including 24 unemployed individuals for entrepreneurial activities, 3 for craft activities, and 1 for agroecotourism services.
To enhance financial literacy, with the assistance of the employment service, training on the course "Fundamentals of Business Planning" was organized for 32 unemployed individuals from January to March 2021.
The subsidy is provided in the amount of 11 times the subsistence minimum budget per capita (hereinafter referred to as SMB), effective on the date of the agreement on subsidy provision between the labor, employment, and social protection authorities and the unemployed individual.
When unemployed individuals organize entrepreneurial activities, activities for providing services in the field of agroecotourism, or craft activities in small towns and districts with high labor market tension, as well as in rural settlements, the subsidy is provided in the amount of 15 times the SMB.
When unemployed individuals organize entrepreneurial activities related to the implementation of research and development results (objects of industrial property rights – inventions, utility models, industrial designs, plant varieties, integrated circuit topologies), the subsidy is provided in the amount of 20 times the SMB.
As of February 1, 2021, the average per capita SMB is 262.87 rubles.
