Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection: in the Vitebsk region, 18 unemployed individuals were given the opportunity to gain practical work experience

In January-August 2021, 18 unemployed individuals in the Vitebsk region were given the opportunity to gain practical work experience.

This service is provided to enable the unemployed to acquire professional knowledge, skills, and practical work experience in accordance with their acquired profession (specialty), to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, and to expand their employment opportunities.

Employed within the framework of this service, citizens gained experience in various professions (specialties): lawyer, programmer technician, manicure and pedicure master, salesperson, seamstress, and lumberjack.

Unemployed individuals registered with the employment service are directed to gain practical work experience in their acquired profession (specialty), including:

- graduates of educational institutions who have received vocational-technical, secondary specialized, and higher education;

- individuals who have undergone vocational training or retraining directed by the employment service;

- individuals who have not worked for a long time (more than 12 months) due to caring for a child under 3 years of age, a disabled child under 18 years of age, or a child under 18 years of age infected with the human immunodeficiency virus or suffering from AIDS.

Employers providing workplaces for the employment of the unemployed to gain practical work experience have their labor costs partially compensated by the employment service.
