A competition has been announced for the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee awards for talented young scientists and specialists

An open regional competition for awards from the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee for talented young scientists and specialists is announced.

The annual open regional competition for awards from the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee for talented young scientists and specialists is held to stimulate research activities of young scientists and specialists engaged in promising scientific research and development in organizations of the Vitebsk region.

The competition is held in the following competitive sections:

• fundamental research – 3 awards;
• applied research and development – 4 awards, including one award for the best development for achieving results in economy and thrift.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until December 1, 2020.

Doctors of sciences under 45 years of age, candidates of sciences – under 35 years of age, scientists without a degree – under 30 years of age (as of October 1 of the year in which candidates are nominated) with at least three scientific publications in journals and collections of scientific works on the topic of the competitive work are eligible to participate in the competition.

Requirements for the design of competitive works and other rules are set out in the Instructions on the Procedure for Conducting the Competition, approved by the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated September 14, 2006, No. 658 (National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2006, No. 176, 9/5449).
