An open regional competition for the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee prizes for talented young scientists and specialists has been announced

An open regional competition for the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee awards for talented young scientists and specialists is announced.

The annual open regional competition for the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee awards for talented young scientists and specialists is held to stimulate research activities of young scientists and specialists engaged in promising scientific research and development in organizations of the Vitebsk region.

The competition is held in the following competition sections:

• fundamental research – 3 awards;
• applied research and development – 4 awards, including one award for the best development for achieving results in savings and thrift.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until December 1, 2019.

Doctors of sciences under 45 years of age, candidates of sciences – under 35 years of age, scientists without a degree – under 30 years of age (as of October 1 of the year in which the nominations are made), who have at least three scientific publications in journals and collections of scientific works on the topic of the competition work, are eligible to participate in the competition.

The requirements for the design of competition works and other rules are set out in the Instructions on the procedure for conducting the competition, approved by the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated 14.09.2006 No. 658 (National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2006, No. 176, 9/5449).
