Measuring the Future: Construction Industry Workers of the Region Honored in Vitebsk

People whose craft requires skill and strength, respect for traditions and a drive for innovation – builders celebrate their professional holiday on the second Sunday of August. On the eve of the celebration, workers of the industry who have made a significant contribution to the development of the region's construction complex were honored at the Vitebsk Concert Hall.

About 100 representatives of the sector were awarded industry awards and commendations for their high professionalism and long-term work.

Congratulations to the industry workers were addressed by representatives of the relevant ministry, the relevant committee, and others.

Anatoly Nichkasov, Chairman of the Republican Union of Builders, emphasized that the indicators achieved by the region's construction complex speak primarily of the fact that true professionals work here, demonstrating the art of house building and the construction of industrial and social facilities. He also specifically noted the high quality of landscaping. He also read out a congratulatory address from Vadim Olshevsky, Minister of Architecture and Construction.

Petr Belyus, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, noted that the implementation of large infrastructure projects, the construction of industrial facilities, and the construction of social institutions stimulate the development of related industries, create new jobs, and improve people's quality of life.

Vitebsk region is proud of the industry's achievements and sees its representatives as reliable partners in implementing large-scale regional development plans. Among the priorities of the region's socio-economic development is the implementation of the housing program, the creation of comfortable living conditions for various categories of citizens, especially those in acute need of housing. From January to June 2026, 135.5 thousand square meters of housing were built.

Among the facilities commissioned this year are a kindergarten in Orsha, the Novopolotsk regional MSW treatment complex... The reconstruction of the Lepel – Polotsk road is ongoing, and Miory is preparing for the regional rural workers' festival "Dozhinki". A significant portion of the budget funds is allocated to the construction of water de-ironing stations and land reclamation, the construction of bridges and other socially significant facilities to improve the quality of life of the region's population.

– Undoubtedly, the main role in the implementation of all projects belongs to the teamwork of managers, specialists, and workers of the construction industry organizations. I am convinced that any task is within the capabilities of a well-coordinated team of construction industry workers of the Vitebsk region. The industry remains a powerful engine of the region's economy and unites over 15,000 people in specialized enterprises subordinate to the committee for architecture and construction of the regional executive committee.
