Quality of inspections, work efficiency, effective results: employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office took part in a training seminar for the Vitebsk Regional Ministry of Emergency Situations units.

Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the region for supervision over the enforcement of legislation on crime prevention and other offenses Kolpakova N.L., senior prosecutors of the departments for supervision over inquiry and operational-investigative activities and for the enforcement of legislation and legality of legal acts Derbeneva V.V. and Kryukovskaya I.V. took part in the regional seminar at the institution "Vitebsk Regional Emergency Management Department".

At the seminar, with the participation of the first deputy heads of emergency departments, problematic issues arising in the organization of supervisory and preventive activities of the State Fire Supervision bodies, administrative proceedings, inquiry, registration and accounting of fires were discussed.

The seminar discussed the results of inspections and analyses of the effectiveness of fire prevention work by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local authorities, conducted by the regional prosecutor's offices in August 2020, as well as the completeness of measures taken to bring guilty persons to administrative responsibility for violations of fire safety legislation. In a dialogue format, identified violations and shortcomings in the preventive activities of the State Fire Supervision units, affecting the effectiveness of the region's system for preventing offenses in this area of ​​legal relations, were discussed.

Based on the results of the seminar, common approaches were developed in the joint activities of the involved prevention entities, aimed at improving the organization of work of the State Fire Supervision units, local authorities, state organizations and institutions, increasing the level of protection of the population and territories from fires and other emergencies, and maintaining an adequate level of citizen safety.

In addition, the management of the Vitebsk Regional Emergency Management Department was proposed to determine additional directions and methods for organizing the work of state fire supervision bodies in the second half of 2020 in order to stabilize the situation related to citizen deaths in fires.
