Personnel appointments: Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor introduces new deputies to the staff

The Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region, Andrey Skurat, introduced the newly appointed heads to the staff of the regional department and subordinate prosecutors.

By order of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Shaban has been appointed First Deputy Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region, and Andrey Starchenko has been appointed Deputy Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region.

Introducing the new deputies, the head of the region's supervisory authority noted their high professionalism, principled approach, and significant practical experience in the prosecutor's office, which allows them to effectively solve large-scale state tasks.

"Personnel renewal is a new impetus for strengthening legality and law and order in the Vitebsk region. The regional prosecutor's office faces serious tasks today that require prompt response, in-depth knowledge, and high personal responsibility. I am confident that the experience, competence, and focus on results will help the newly appointed heads ensure high-quality supervision in their assigned areas," emphasized the Regional Prosecutor Andrey Skurat.

The appointed heads have many years of service in the supervisory authority. Viktor Shaban has two higher education degrees – in 1999 he graduated from Belarusian State University with a degree in "Jurisprudence" and in 2022 from the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in "State Construction". He progressed from investigator in the prosecutor's office to prosecutor of Moskovsky District of Minsk, and then held the position of Deputy Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region. He has been awarded medals "For Impeccable Service" of I, II, and III degrees.

Andrey Starchenko began his service in the prosecutor's office of the Vitebsk region in 2012, headed the Beshenkovichi district prosecutor's office, and before his current appointment, he led the department for combating corruption and organized crime of the regional prosecutor's office. He has a medal "For Impeccable Service" of the III degree.

Andrey Skurat wished his colleagues success in strengthening legality, wisdom and objectivity in decision-making, and also focused the team on cohesive and effective work.
