Personnel Day: Nikolai Sherstnev approved the appointments of the General Director of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC and heads of agricultural organizations

The list of candidates invited for approval of appointments to leadership positions within the framework of the personnel day held by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, includes candidates at the rank of "deputy". This is not a random coincidence, but a well-thought-out personnel strategy: they know the team, the state of affairs in their area of responsibility, and therefore are capable of quickly ensuring positive changes in work.

Elena Chebotareva, who has been approved for the position of General Director of OJSC "Vitebsk Carpets", intends to start a new chapter in her professional biography with an analysis of the company's operational efficiency. She has dedicated about 27 years to working in this organization, having gone through all the production stages: from weaver to deputy general director for economics. Among the main points on her task list is to delve into the issue of the necessity to increase production capacity by acquiring the property complex of the "Kovry Bresta" enterprise. It is assumed that the implementation of such an investment project will allow for the creation of a unified carpet production in the country and ensure the stable development of the industry. Considering the increasing level of competition, consumer preferences, and rising demands for product quality and technological sophistication today, the management team must have, as they say, an iron grip.

— When choosing a production strategy, one must first and foremost proceed from market needs. It is important to have a clear understanding of the situation: which type of product is in greater demand, how much to produce, at what price, and where to sell it, — Nikolai Sherstnev noted.

This classic message is also addressed to Petr Prizhitomsky, General Director of OJSC "Keramika", whose contract extension has been approved. He understands that entering new markets, establishing a foothold, and constantly strengthening one's position in them is systematic and labor-intensive work. It is no secret that manufacturers fight for store shelves and consumer wallets by all available means. In order not to disappear from the domestic and foreign economic "radars," it is necessary to seek ways to reduce production costs and cut down on expenditure mechanisms.

Approving the contract extension for Vladimir Prohorov, Director of the production unitary enterprise "Orshanskaya Poultry Farm", the head of the region positively assessed the state of affairs in the organization. The assignments given to the manager last year upon his appointment to this position have been converted into real actions by him. The poultry farm has confidently moved up in the national ranking of production and economic indicators among similar organizations. A significant leap forward has been made in sales activities. However, at the same time, Nikolai Sherstnev does not remove from the agenda the issue related to the competent regulation of product volumes for sale in domestic and foreign markets.

The approved candidates for the positions of Vera Krupovskaya, Head of OJSC "Vedrenskoye-Agro" in Chashniksky district, Artem Baydachenko, Head of OJSC "Geroi" in Dubrovensky district, as well as Alexey Khokhlov, Director of OJSC "Pravda-S" in Dubrovensky district, whose contract extension has been approved, and Yuri Kopot, invited for an interview for the appointment as Head of UP "Uzhitsa-Agro" in Verkhnedvinsk district, are aimed at increasing labor productivity. From the very first minutes of communication with the agro-managers, the head of the region directs them towards creating an effective economy in the enterprises entrusted to them. The emphasis is on "live" indicators – profit, profitability, revenue. The responsibility lies with technologies, labor discipline, and a хозяйский (owner-like) attitude. Crop production is an example. Sowing is not far off, and readiness for it is now elevated to a cult: everything must proceed smoothly and within optimal agro-technical deadlines. Among the priority tasks is the deployment of high-performance modern equipment. For those experiencing such a deficit, technical assistance will be provided through agro-industrial associations, including mechanized detachments. Their main functions include plowing, soil cultivation, sowing, fertilizer application, crop care, harvesting, and fodder procurement. Nikolai Sherstnev provides a clear breakdown: strictly adhere to the structure of sown areas, based on the economic efficiency of farming. This combination is designed to form a substantial harvest and ensure fodder

balance for various livestock groups. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee is confident that every organization has the potential to strengthen its position in crop production in order to obtain the greatest return from livestock products. In this segment, everything is tied together: animal health care, housing, and feeding issues. Agrarian arithmetic is tied to nutritional value and, as a consequence, milk production. Full utilization of this reserve will allow for an increase in the economic status of farms.

Changes and transformations, new steps towards development and growth – this is the focus of our time. The Head of the region calls on all managers to determine the vector of tomorrow today with the main option called "systematic and effective work".
