Personnel Day: Candidates for the positions of directors of agricultural enterprises in the Vitebsk region have been approved

It is not for nothing that they say - a spring day feeds the year. And therefore, at the personnel day of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, when appointing or approving directors of agricultural enterprises, issues of conducting field work arise by themselves, although for a leader it is no less important to determine the development strategy of the enterprise as a whole. And the main profit for the farm is brought by livestock products. This direction in the agricultural sector needs constant attention.

Nikolai Kupriyanov has been appointed Director of KUSKhP "Orekhovno" in the Ushachi district. For some time he worked as chief agronomist, and then for 13 years he managed a farm. He has accumulated considerable experience and knows rural life firsthand. Kupriyanov's plans include strengthening the enterprise with specialists, and certain groundwork has already been done. The plans include creating a third herd to increase milk production. Nikolai Nikolaevich Sherstnev drew the new head's attention to the fact that the farm has a very low density of cattle per 100 hectares of agricultural land. However, for a farm to yield good results, all that is needed is common sense. To lay straw in time, to feed the cattle, to milk them. For now, the farms in the Ushachi district are far from being in order, but "Orekhovno" has a chance to become efficient.

Alexander Karnishov has been managing the farm "Ulishitsy-Agro" UP "Vitebsk Branch of Belarusian Railway" in the Gorodok district for a long time. The enterprise is small - almost a farm, and the indicators are not impressive, milk production is falling. But no objective difficulties, unsuitable lands can be an excuse when approving the extension of the contract. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee demanded to focus on fodder procurement for livestock in this farm, increase the number of livestock, and decide on the sowing of crops that will bring money.

KUSKhP "Zaruby" in the Dubrovno district also has significant potential that needs to be utilized in the near future. New premises for livestock are being built here, but its density per 100 hectares of agricultural land remains low for now. Nikolai Sherstnev drew attention to

the need to increase livestock production indicators by at least half.

The marketing service of OJSC "Orsha Dairy Plant" also received a low rating. And although the plant's director, Alexander Zayats, noted that their whole milk products are successfully sold in the Moscow region (Russian Federation), the chairman of the regional executive committee believes that the sales profitability of 12.3% can be increased.

- Our meat and dairy products are in demand in Russian regions, - noted Nikolai Sherstnev. – This was also shown by recent visits of delegations to the Volgograd, Astrakhan, and Tver regions. The whole issue is that our enterprises do not know how to sell what they produce, they do not analyze prices in domestic and foreign markets.

Alexander Zayats has been instructed to continue working on reducing the cost of production, while simultaneously developing the production of cheese curds, cottage cheese, and yogurts. It is necessary to determine as soon as possible which types will provide high added value and make proposals for the developing program for the Orsha region. Processing enterprises must use raw materials received from livestock complexes and farms as rationally as possible.
