Personnel Day: Appointments of new Deputy Chairmen of the Regional Agricultural Production Committee, Lepel District Executive Committee, heads of Polotsk-Steklovolokno, Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory, Orsha MCC have been agreed upon.

The candidacies of managers in the agricultural sector, industry, as well as in housing and communal services and construction were approved as part of a personnel day by the First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Oleg Matskevich.

Mechanization, energy, labor protection are a three-pronged task for Yuri Pochko – currently the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, who previously headed the department of the same name within this structural unit. Special emphasis is placed on achieving "zero injuries". Unfortunately, in workplace accidents, employees themselves are most often to blame. But can managers and those responsible for safety always hide behind such a wording? Salary, profitability are not grounds or justifications for ignoring labor protection rules. Yes, it is necessary to work efficiently, but safely. Many tragedies can be prevented. That is why Oleg Matskevich highlights the prevention of injuries as a priority case task for the manager, across the entire management vertical.

The new Deputy Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Evgeny Yasko, who before his appointment headed the design and architectural bureau in the district center, is focused on the rhythmic work to reduce costs by housing and communal services and construction organizations, increase service exports, and participate in tenders. The manager understands that if all work is done with quality, industry enterprises will take off, becoming more in-demand and competitive.

Oleg Kurilin has been approved for the position of Director of OJSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", for whom this is a step up from the position of Deputy Head for Commercial Affairs. In September, the enterprise was registered as a resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk", which gave the "green light" for the use of a number of benefits and preferences. If you have production in the FEZ, you are exempt from taxes on real estate, land, and much more. But there must be a return. Oleg Matskevich recalls the mandatory condition announced by the Head of State at a meeting on increasing the efficiency of FEZs: to start implementing the project by the end of the year. The manager shared

ambitious plans for the organization's development in its new status. "Polotsk-Steкловолокно", as the only producer of fiberglass and its based materials in Belarus and one of the leading in Europe, intends to modernize the production of high-temperature resistant products. And another significant point with the prefix "planned" is the construction of a workshop for the production of thermochemically treated electrical insulating materials for foiled dielectrics.

Svetlana Chivirova, the former chief accountant of OJSC "Verkhnedzvinsk Dairy Plant", has been approved for the position of director. Her predecessor, Petr Lavrinov, now the general director of the Vitebsk concern "Meat and Dairy Products", analyzing the plant's activities, noted a positive development trend. In particular, production is loaded at 100%, operates economically efficiently, and competently distributes product sales flows. By the way, Verkhnedzvinsk products are in demand among neighbors in the Eurasian Economic Union and on distant continents. Answering the question of Boris Efremov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, about the prospects for production development, Svetlana Chivirova announced the release of a new line of cheeses with an extended shelf life of up to two years. While retaining its long-standing and reliable customers, the enterprise is gradually expanding the geography of new sales markets. Will the growth of exports lead to half-empty shelves in domestic stores? To avoid this, it is important to maintain a competent balance in regulating product volumes for domestic and foreign markets in the race for new supply destinations, believes Oleg Sergeevich.

Breakthrough results in the economy of PUP "Orsha Meat Canning Plant" are expected from the new director, Nikolai Matskevich. The construction of a slaughterhouse, as well as a new workshop for the production of canned goods and sausages, is the combination for the enterprise's development in the near future, which will allow it to provide raw materials for the entire production cycle of the plant and increase its capacity.

Increasing production efficiency, milk marketability, analyzing its sales, improving quality characteristics — theseaspects have become key points for current agricultural managers, whose contracts have been agreed to be extended.

Thoughtful breeding and zootechnical work, plus a good feed base, and it becomes clear why milk yields at the "Novye Goryany" farm in the Polotsk region are increasing annually. This is the enterprise to emulate, emphasized the first deputy chairman of the regional executive committee. The farm's milk yield benchmark – an average yield of over five and a half thousand kilograms – is a coveted height for many. And this is a strategic product that remains a guarantor of stable revenue throughout the year. The head, Vissarion Nam, understands that to get more "white gold," it is necessary to increase the productivity of feed lands. Therefore, fodder harvesting is not just for its significance equated to grain harvesting. Another component of "Novye Goryany's" success is adherence to animal husbandry technology. Close behind this enterprise are the "Barsuchanka" farm in the Dokshitsky region (head Sergey Moskalenok), and "PolitotdelAgro" in the Beshenkovichi region (head Alexander Komovich).

Contracts have also been extended to the heads of agricultural enterprises "Nadezhino" in the Tolochinsky region, Alexander Molchanov, "Sorochino" in the Ushachsky region, Oleg Lyolya, "Malkovo," Petr Shinkevich, and "Danukalovo-Agro" in the Lioznensky region, Mikhail Zazit. The directive for them is: growth points lie in the competent use of natural, material, financial, and labor resources. If key indicators are not increased, some economic ailments of enterprises will become chronic and significantly pull down the economies of the regions and the incomes of farmers.
