When agreeing to extend contracts, Nikolai Sherstnev drew the attention of managers to the increase in production profitability

At the personnel day with the chairman of the regional executive committee, two new appointments were made. Irina Toironen, who previously worked as deputy chairman of the board of the Verkhnedvinsk regional consumer society, has been approved for the position of director of the "Verkhnedvinsk Bakery" branch of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom". Vitaly Trofimenkov, chief engineer of the state enterprise "Braslav-kommunalnik" of housing and communal services, became the director of the same enterprise.

When appointing, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, was primarily interested in the strategy for the further development of these enterprises. It is unjustified if a modern leader thinks only in terms of the current day and does not see what is beyond the horizon.

Irina Toironen believes that the range of products manufactured at the plant needs to be expanded, and the conditions for this exist. For example, the production and sale of dried bread rings and red malt (the enterprise produces white malt, and it is in demand) promise certain bonuses.

- What could you offer for sale in the capital metropolis? - Nikolai Nikolaevich is interested. - Unfortunately, the products of the Vitebsk region are not sufficiently represented in Minsk.

The new director intends to improve the quality of confectionery products of the Verkhnedvinsk bakery and sell them both in the capital and in the Russian border region. The main thing is to outpace competitors and calculate every deal in order not to miss profits. The chairman of the regional executive committee also set her this goal: to work for profit.

Nikolai Sherstnev asked the new director of the state enterprise "Braslav-kommunalnik" of housing and communal services what, in his opinion, needs to be done in Braslav to make the city truly attractive to tourists?

Vitaly Trofimenkov, from the perspective of public utilities, outlined the main pressing problems of the district center, such as the modernization of boiler equipment, the repair of the water supply system, and the condition of the bathhouse. Yes, all these issues need to be resolved in stages. But the chairman of the regional executive committee still considers the issue of arranging the embankment, which should be no worse than in the Black Sea resorts, to be the main one for Braslav. It is unacceptable for the approaches to the lakes in places of mass recreation to be overgrown with nettles or other vegetation.

Much

questions arose to the head of OAO "Postavsky Rayagropromservice" Mikhail Butor, who has been working as director for just over two years. The production and economic performance indicators of the enterprise indicate a lack of a pragmatic approach to management issues.

- You have no indicators because you have no technologies," noted Nikolai Sherstnev. – Low yield of products per hectare of agricultural land. Low milk yield. And if there are no products, then there is no salary.

The reason for this unsatisfactory situation is that agriservices have lost their former functionality. It needs to be restored. Through the creation of detachments that can provide services to agricultural enterprises in in-demand areas, whether it be plowing land or applying fertilizers. In the near future, the deputy chairman of the regional executive committee, Viktor Askerko, will visit the farm to decide on the further management of the enterprise.

The situation with the "Poludetki" branch of OAO "Moloko" of Vitebsk was called absurd. The branch director essentially has no financial means to promptly respond to necessary production needs. All revenue from milk and meat remains with the processor at the parent company, so the branch director has no more rights and opportunities than a foreman. The chairman of the regional executive committee is convinced that approaches to such management need to be changed. Branches should have their own settlement accounts.

The directors of two large Orsha enterprises – "Legmash Plant" Sergey Kolos and "Krasny Borеts" machine-tool plant Alexander Shulgin – were also presented for the extension of contracts. The chairman of the regional executive committee drew the leaders' attention to increasing the profitability of production and achieving more stable operations.

The basis for a leader is the enterprise's economy. The prospects for development and the well-being of the team depend on it. The agenda includes cost reduction. The formula is the same for everyone: the strongest wins.
