Personnel day with the chairman: aiming for maximum effect

Recently, at a meeting chaired by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, the situation in the agricultural sector of the Lepel district was discussed in detail. The negative dynamics in the economy of the agronomists of Lepelshchina caused criticism of the leadership of the district executive committee and, as a result, a change in the first deputy chairman of the district executive committee – head of the department of agriculture and food. Last week, Mikhail Kiselevich, a young but already proven leader, was appointed to this position. Before this appointment, Kiselevich headed the Lepel variety testing station for three years.

When approving this candidate for the responsible position, the chairman of the regional executive committee was interested in the results of experiments obtained at the variety testing plots. How promising is a particular variety of domestic selection for the soil and climatic conditions of the Vitebsk region? Why are imported varieties an order of magnitude more effective? On the eve of the spring field work, the focus should be on varieties that can provide maximum yield. To obtain the optimal result, it is necessary to competently organize crop rotation and strictly adhere to the technology. Violations of the sowing dates and cultivation technology of winter rapeseed, for example, lead to the plants losing their strength and dying.

- In our conditions, it is spring rapeseed crops that can bring greater efficiency to farms, - believes Nikolai Sherstnev. The chairman set Mikhail Kiselevich the task: the achievements of the variety testing station should be introduced into the agricultural production of the Lepel district. Everything best and most demonstrative should be applied in practice in the farms of the region.

New directors have also been appointed to two agricultural enterprises in the Miory district. However, if production at OJSC "Turkovo" is pleasing with its positive dynamics, then KUP "Yazno" is the opposite – it couldn't be worse…

Before being appointed director of OJSC "Turkovo", Ivan Yurashko worked as the head of the district inspectorate for seed production, quarantine and plant protection. He was entrusted with continuing the traditions of one of the best farmsof the district. More precisely, to multiply the achieved result. The conditions for this exist. Therefore, the average milk yield per cow needs to be increased from 5600 kg to 7000 kg and above. The enterprise should become a "beacon" for the region's agrarians.

The director of KUP "Yazno", Stanislav Bagdanovich, has no time to waste. To stop the economic decline and achieve positive dynamics, he has been given only two months. The requirements are strict, but if you agreed to be a leader, make the most of this chance.

Spears of criticism were also directed at the director of USHP "Smolyany" of the Orsha district, Valery Savitsky.

- You have been the director for three years and are doing nothing to increase milk yields! – noted the first deputy chairman of the committee for agriculture and food, Vladimir Mashero, who had previously pointed out the inefficient work of the enterprise and promised to visit "Smolyany" in the near future.

The Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Chief Inspector for the Vitebsk region, Alexander Poznyak, proposed extending Valery Savitsky's contract with the wording "conditionally". Time will tell whether the manager can cope with his duties and steer the farm's economy in a positive direction.
