President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, making the decision on the appointment of Alexander Rogozhnik as Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, outlined key tasks both for the region as a whole and for responsible officials, a BELTA correspondent reports.
    "I want to say to the people of Vitebsk right away: this is not an emergency situation," the head of state explained his personnel decision to change the head of the region. "But the region needs some kind of breakthrough."
The President noted that a meeting on the development of the region, which is currently in a difficult situation, was held in Vitebsk on October 24 last year. And Alexander Lukashenko expects that local personnel will mobilize and implement what was given special attention.
    "We were simply working in the old way, much has already been said about this too. We need to take a fresh look at the problems that exist there and act," the head of state oriented.
