Committee of Economy: Industrial production in the Vitebsk region increased by 7% in July

The industrial complex of the Vitebsk region ensures positive dynamics in production volume, as reported by the Committee for Economy of the Regional Executive Committee.

In July, production volume at comparable prices increased by 7% compared to July of last year. As a result, for January-July, the industrial production index grew by 1.5 percentage points compared to the same period in 2019.

"Based on the results of 7 months of work, most sectors of the manufacturing industry have shown an increase in production volumes under comparable conditions: woodworking, rubber and plastic products, construction materials, metallurgical production and production of metal products, food industry, production of computers, electronic and optical equipment, production of electrical equipment, machinery and equipment. Growth has been achieved in the mining industry," the committee stated.

In addition, the Vitebsk region continues to have one of the lowest shares of finished goods inventories in the average monthly production volume among all regions of the country, and a high share of shipped innovative products.

"Effective work has been ensured, profits and sales profitability are growing. Currently, industrial enterprises are operating in a normal mode, and the development dynamics are maintained," the committee emphasized.
