State Property Committee: Former 19th-century post office in Horadok District Sold at Auction

The 100th property sold by the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee this year was the former post station located near the village of Kuzmino, Gorodok district.

The post station, built in 1848, is an architectural monument. The station includes: a station house (mini-cafe and bar), a wing (motel), a coach house (garages and warehouses), a shaft well, a pedestrian area, fencing, water supply, sewage, and electricity supply.

It is noteworthy that in 2018, this real estate object was already bought by an investor at an auction for the basic rate. However, due to non-fulfillment of the auction conditions (the investor failed to organize entrepreneurial activity using the property), the station was returned to the state and put up for auction again this year.

The 4th auction proved to be successful, with the starting price set at 5 basic rates. Two buyers competed for the lot. During the bidding, at the 23rd auction step, the post station was sold for 1558 rubles to a private organization from Gorodok, which plans to use the property in the field of roadside services.

Still, the greatest interest among buyers is in properties offered at the basic rate – 59 such properties (59%) were sold this year.
