State Property Committee: Pre-revolutionary building on Movzona Street in Vitebsk sold at auction

The administrative building, located on the banks of the Dvina River on Movzona Street in Vitebsk, was sold on January 17 at an auction by the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee.

In 1897, the Vitebsk State Winery Warehouse of the Vitebsk Provincial Excise Administration was built on this territory, which supplied wine to wine shops.

In 1954, the building was restored, and in 1989, a major overhaul was carried out.

At one time, the Vitebsk Liqueur and Vodka Plant and Vitebsk Food Industry were located here. Subsequently, during reorganization, the building was transferred to the Vitba confectionery factory. The building ceased to be used at the end of 2016, which led to the decision to sell it at auction.

On January 17, at a repeat auction, when the price of the object was reduced by only 5%, two buyers were found. As a result, for 486,518 rubles, the administrative building was acquired by the neighboring liqueur and vodka plant. The new owner plans to locate a new auxiliary administrative and utility building here.

The most in-demand objects remain those put up for auction at the base price – all previous successful auctions this year were at the base price.
