According to him, this volume is 32.9% of the annual target and includes 48.1 thousand sq.m of housing built with state support (72.9% of the plan). In total, 483 large families were provided with housing in the first half of the year, or 64.6% of the annual target.
The situation in this area varies by region. "Orsha is slightly lagging, Vitebsk is not working enough in this regard, although the flagship construction organization of the region, Vitebsk DSK, is located here and should be working at full capacity. We have not achieved this yet. In addition, these cities concentrate 61% of the families out of 64 thousand on the waiting list. In them, along with Novopolotsk, there are volumes of work and potential co-investors who want to build," stated Alexander Shidlovsky.
In the rural regions of the region, the main share of construction falls on districts with a population of about 20 thousand people (Beshenkovichi, Ushachi, Dokshitsy, etc.), which have their own PMK (mobile mechanized columns). Rental housing is also being built more actively there to retain staff and orphans.
At the same time, in a number of districts of the region (Gorodok, Dubrovno, Lepel, Liozno, Ushachi, Miory, Chashniki, and Sharkovshchina), extremely low indicators for the commissioning of individual residential houses are noted. The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, drew special attention to this circumstance, emphasizing that at present the demand for individual housing is growing, and therefore this issue should be addressed more seriously. Also, in his opinion, it is necessary to search for new technologies for the construction of prefabricated houses and test them in the Vitebsk region.
