Committee for Architecture and Construction: In the Vitebsk region, the target for housing construction for large families has been fulfilled by 160 percent
In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 24 of January 18, 2021, housing for 700 large families was to be built in the Vitebsk region last year.
The task, as stated by Andrei Pshonko, Head of the Housing Policy and Investment Department of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, has not only been completed but overfulfilled. 1330 apartments with a total area of 90.7 thousand square meters have been built for 1245 large parents and their children.

The task, as stated by Andrei Pshonko, Head of the Housing Policy and Investment Department of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, has not only been completed but overfulfilled. 1330 apartments with a total area of 90.7 thousand square meters have been built for 1245 large parents and their children.
Currently, about 3,000 large families in the Vitebsk region eligible for housing improvement are waiting for their turn for construction. In the current year, it is planned to erect multi-story buildings in all cities and district centers of the region for them and provide new housing for at least 634 families. It is noteworthy that a third of the assigned task in the region has already been completed. This year, large families in Polotsk, Lepel, Miory, and Tolochin have celebrated housewarmings – multi-story buildings have been commissioned there. Another 5 families have built individual houses with state support. Last year, over 40 large families became owners of their own homesteads.
