Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: on acquiring practical work experience

In January-May 2022, in the Vitebsk region, 9 unemployed individuals were provided with an opportunity to gain practical work experience.

This service is provided for the purpose of enabling unemployed individuals to acquire professional knowledge, skills, and practical work experience in accordance with their obtained profession (specialty), enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market, and expanding employment opportunities.

Employed under this service, citizens gained experience in various professions (specialties): economist, programmer technician, salesperson, warehouse keeper, logger.

Unemployed individuals registered with the employment service are referred for practical work experience in their obtained profession (specialty), including:

  • graduates of educational institutions who have received vocational, secondary specialized, and higher education;
  • individuals who have undergone vocational training or retraining at the direction of the employment service;
  • individuals who have not worked for a long time (more than 12 months) due to caring for a child under 3 years of age, a disabled child under 18 years of age, as well as a child under 18 years of age infected with the human immunodeficiency virus or suffering from AIDS.

Employment of unemployed individuals for practical work experience in their obtained profession (specialty) can be carried out in organizations regardless of ownership, except for organizations whose activities are financed from budget funds, and with individual entrepreneurs.

IMPORTANT! Employers providing workplaces for the employment of unemployed individuals to gain practical work experience are partially compensated by the employment service for their labor costs.
