Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: about Br2.3 million will be allocated for the preparation of boarding schools in the Vitebsk region for the heating season
The main part of the work has been completed to date. In particular, repairs of the internal premises of residential buildings, water supply, sewerage, heating and electrical networks have been completed, buildings have been insulated, readiness certificates for the heating season have been obtained, and necessary equipment, including for food units, has been purchased.
"In addition to improving living conditions, we also took care of purchasing seasonal clothing for residents of social institutions. Over Br262 thousand has been allocated for the purchase of jackets, hats, socks, underwear, and shoes," Nina Kolymaga noted.
She drew attention to the fact that preparation for the inter-season period also includes creating own stocks of fruit and vegetable products, and ensuring meat and milk supplies through the operation of own subsidiary farms, which are available at each boarding house. Fresh vegetables are grown in greenhouses donated by sponsors. Where possible, cattle, sheep, and poultry are kept. Boarding houses sell surplus agricultural products at fairs.
