The Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection explained who is entitled to an "age" pension supplement and when
1. If a pensioner takes up employment, they must inform their pension department. Furthermore, the pensioner must also report their dismissal. The aforementioned circumstances - employment and dismissal - in some cases affect the amount of pension payable.
For example, for pensioners with an individual earnings coefficient exceeding 1.3, the portion of the pension exceeding this coefficient is not paid during the period of employment. In the absence of information about the pensioner's employment, the pension will be paid in an inflated amount, without justification. The excess pension amount is subject to mandatory deduction, in full.
Another situation may arise: a pensioner has been dismissed for a long time but has not reported it. Since the pensioner continues to be listed as employed, upon reaching the age of 75, they will not be granted an age supplement (by law, it is due from the age of 75 to non-working pension recipients in labor, employment, and social protection bodies). The underpaid pension amount will be paid to the pensioner for no more than 3 years prior to the application.
The pensioner is notified (under their personal signature) of the obligation to inform the pension-paying authority of circumstances that entail a change in the pension amount or cessation of its payment when applying for a pension or its recalculation. Information about the need to report such circumstances is also contained in the pension certificate.
2. From what specific period does the so-called "age" supplement to the pension for non-working recipients begin to be accrued? It is established automatically (without applying to the pension authority) and begins to be paid from the month following the month in which the pensioner reaches the age of 75.
The supplement amount for people aged 75 to 79 is 75% of the minimum old-age pension (as of May 1 of this year - 51.24 rubles). From the age of 80, the "age" supplement increases to 100% of the minimum old-age pension (as of May 1 - 68.32 rubles). The amount changes four times a year due to changes in the subsistence minimum budget (on February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1).
The supplement is not established for: persons receiving pensions from law enforcement agencies; working pensioners; persons under state care and residing in state stationary social service organizations; persons in places of deprivation of liberty; persons residing outside the republic.
