Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: In the Vitebsk region, assistance in employment was provided to 477 citizens, especially those in need of social protection
The state provides additional guarantees in the field of employment promotion to citizens who are particularly in need of social protection and are unable to compete on equal terms in the labor market, including:
- orphans,
- children left without parental care,
- persons from among orphans and children left without parental care;
- parents in large and single-parent families, as well as those raising children with disabilities;
- persons released from places of deprivation of liberty;
- those seeking work for the first time at the age of up to 21;
- pre-retirement age persons (two years before reaching the age entitling to old-age pension on general grounds).
Additional guarantees in the field of employment promotion are provided through:
the establishment of quotas for hiring,
the provision of vocational guidance services,
the organization of training, and other measures.
In January-April 2021, 732 citizens with additional employment guarantees applied to the employment service and were registered as unemployed, which is 20.7 percent of the total number of registered unemployed. Assistance in employment in permanent jobs was provided to 477 citizens, including:
188 - parents in large and single-parent families, as well as those raising children with disabilities;
19 - unemployed persons seeking work for the first time at the age of up to 21;
1 - children left without parental care;
75 - pre-retirement age persons;
2 - persons from among orphans and children left without parental care;
2 - citizens who left the territory of radioactive contamination;
4 - combat veterans;
19 - military personnel dismissed from military service;
78 - citizens from among persons released from places of deprivation of liberty;
89 - people with disabilities.
